Student Scholarship Scheme

Five lucky students will qualify for this scholarship, worth €1,000 each.

Goresbridge Credit Union operates a Student Scholarship Scheme.

The applicant must be for the first time entering the first year of a recognised Third Level, PLC course, or Trade Apprenticeship. The Dermot Mulligan memorial scholarship is an open draw and is not based on academic achievement.

The draw is strictly supervised and controlled.

Terms & Conditions

1. Scholarship ‘Draw’ for all Goresbridge Credit Union members entering the first year of a recognised Third Level or Post Leaving Cert course or Trade Apprenticeships.
2. Five Lucky Students each year will qualify for this scholarship.
3. Five students either living or studying in the common bond area of Goresbridge Credit Union.
4. Applicants must be living, or attending a secondary school within the Common Bond of Goresbridge Credit Union Limited, prior to 20^th September in the year of application.
5. The applicant must be entering the first year of a recognised Third Level, PLC course or Trade Apprenticeship for the first time and not have completed any other third-level course, apprenticeship, or PLC course.
6. The applicant must intend to pursue a course of study in a recognised Irish or European Third Level Institute.
7. If entering the draw through a secondary school, proof of attendance will be required.
8. Application forms must be returned together with evidence that the applicant has been offered, and has accepted, a recognised course or Trade Apprenticeship.
9. The Scholarship will be paid in two equal instalments directly to the student at a rate of €500 per instalment, the total amount paid will be €1,000.
10. Payment of the Scholarship is dependent on the student maintaining satisfactory progress.
11. The decision of the Board of Directors will be final.
